We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jędrzej Chrzanowski, a PhD student from the Department of Biostatistics and Translational Medicine at the Medical University of Łódź, has been awarded the prestigious ISPAD-BreakthroughT1D grant, valued at $25,000.
Dr. Jędrzej Chrzanowski represented our university during the 24th ISPAD Science School for Physicians, a prestigious workshop and mentoring event that gathers young doctors and scientists from around the world working in the field of pediatric diabetology.
The ISPAD Science School for Physicians is a unique opportunity for scientific and clinical development, as well as for building long-term international collaborations that can significantly impact advancements in pediatric diabetology.
The ISPAD-BreakthroughT1D grant will be used to continue research on the significance of epigenetics as a risk marker for long-term complications in type 1 diabetes.
