Free legal consultations for international PhD candidates in Poland – Academia Law Hub project
Are you an international PhD candidate in Poland and do you have questions about doctoral education, your rights, or regulations concerning doctoral training?
The Academia Law Hub project offers free individual legal consultations for international PhD candidates who would like to better understand the Polish higher education and science system and learn how to effectively exercise their rights.
During the consultations, you can receive support regarding:
- your rights and obligations as a PhD candidate,
- doctoral school regulations and procedures,
- doctoral training and academic requirements,
- individual research plans and doctoral education matters,
- relations with supervisors and university authorities,
- administrative procedures,
- scholarships and available forms of support,
- practical legal questions related to doctoral studies in Poland.
The consultations are conducted by experts in higher education law, with academic and practical experience in supporting doctoral candidates and academic communities.
👨⚖️ mgr Przemysław Mroczkowski
Lawyer and economist, PhD candidate at the University of Warsaw, specialist in administrative law and higher education law. Author of more than 20 scientific publications, including co-author of a commentary to the Law on Higher Education and Science. Former Chair of the Doctoral Students’ Council of the University of Warsaw, member of the Doctoral Candidates’ Rights Ombudsman Team and expert in doctoral education quality processes.
👩⚖️ mgr Ewelina Tomczyk
Lawyer, PhD candidate and researcher at the University of Wrocław. Author of publications concerning civil procedure, international law, and higher education law. Experienced in academic governance and doctoral representation structures, including activities within the Polish National Association of Doctoral Candidates (KRD).
