International cooperation

To increase cooperation between foreign doctoral schools, we plan to support application to various international doctoral schools programs, for example, Marie Curie Sklodowska Actions, EIT Doctoral Schools, Initial Training Network, European Joint Doctorates and European Universities Initiative. We will finance study visits in partner universities applying for joint projects and visits of partners at our University. To increase success chances, we want to sponsor our membership in EUA Council for Doctoral Education. Each student with foreign supervisor/co-supervisor will be guided to obtain a joint degree; we plan to support additional legal and travel costs as well as visits of supervisors in partnering institutions.

In March 2024, the Vice-Rector for the Development of Science and International Cooperation at the Medical University of Lodz, Professor Lucyna Woźniak, PhD, DSc, along with the Director of the International Doctoral School, Professor Anna Woźniacka, MD, PhD, initiated a collaboration as part of the tasks carried out in the NAWA STER project titled “Internationalization empowerment of Doctoral School at Medical University of Lodz (InterEmpowereD)" funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

As part of this collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Medical University of Lodz and the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. The aim of this agreement is to collaborate in the didactic and research fields concerning the education of doctoral students.
