The Horizon conference highlights the potential for the development of Polish science and industry, serving as a fantastic platform for networking with international partners.

Horizon Europe is a key program of the European Union funding research and innovation, with a budget of 95.5 billion EUR for the years 2021-2027. This program supports collaboration and enhances the impact of research and innovation on development. It promotes the creation and better dissemination of knowledge and technology.

During this year’s conference, attendees had the opportunity to listen to speeches from invited guests in the field of technology, including Dr. Maciej Kawecki – EU Digital Ambassador, and Dr. Daria Gołębiowska-Tataj – CEO of Tataj Innovation.

The conference was also divided into breakout sessions – one of them was “Value-based healthcare – Can we make it happen?” during which 7 professionals discussed the importance of education as a real foundation for future development. It was emphasized that providing doctoral students with additional courses and summer schools is currently the best solution to keep up with the rapidly changing reality.

The conference also included a pitching session, giving participants the opportunity to present project ideas, introduce their organizations, and seek potential partners for building consortia together.

We encourage all interested doctoral students to participate in such conferences and to contact the International Projects Department of the Medical University of Łódź for the establishment of international cooperation.
