We invite you to participate in the Twente Health Spring School 2026

Are you a doctoral student or a young researcher who has just completed their thesis? Would you like to explore the links between health and technological innovation, research practice and health policy? Take part in the Twente Health Spring School 2026.

 

About the event

Twente Health Spring School 2026 is an intensive multi-day spring school organised by the University of Twente (Netherlands) from 18 to 20 May under the theme ‘Shaping the Future of Health’, during which participants will learn about health sciences, data analysis, artificial intelligence, ethics and management.

Through a combination of lectures, workshops, case studies and presentations, participants will gain both in-depth scientific knowledge and practical skills. It is also a unique opportunity to network with experts and build cooperation between disciplines and institutions.

 

Event programme

The Twente Health Spring School 2026 programme consists of three compulsory theme days and one additional day devoted to specific topics:

• Day 1: Healthcare systems, technology and society: examining the impact of innovation on healthcare and analysing health policy.
• Day 2: New frontiers in data analytics, AI and health: practical methods and workshops on data-driven and computational health.
• Day 3: Implementation, evaluation and responsible practice: analysis of human factors, systems engineering, health technology assessment and ethical issues related to AI.
• Day 4 (optional): Session dedicated to real-world engagement and the impact of research outside the academic context.

Key information

ECTS credits: 1.5 ECTS credits can be earned for participating in the event.

Funding: A limited number of fee waivers are available for the most motivated participants.
