UMED as a Partner of the 7th Doctoral Student Day
On May 13-14, the 7th edition of the Doctoral Student Day will take place. The event is organized by the University Council of Doctoral Students of the University of Łódź in partnership with the Medical University of Łódź. We cordially invite all students and doctoral candidates to participate in the event!
On May 13, lectures, trainings, and workshops will be held for doctoral students, graduates, and candidates for doctoral schools. At the Faculty of Management of the University of Łódź, lectures and a panel discussion on the popularization of scientific research are planned. Meanwhile, at the Doctoral Schools Center, trainings and workshops will cover topics such as grant application submissions, legal and practical aspects of education in doctoral schools, and time management, conducted in both Polish and English.
At the end of the first day of the event, an Open Day of the Doctoral Schools of the University of Łódź and the International Doctoral School of the Medical University of Łódź will take place. We invite all students and graduates interested in doctoral education who want to learn about their offerings and recruitment rules.
On May 14, another edition of the Talking Science Competition for students and doctoral candidates of the University of Łódź and the Medical University of Łódź will take place. Participants will present the themes of their scientific research/interests in a way understandable to a wide audience. The presentation time must not exceed 180 seconds! The jury will select the winners of the competition, and the audience will choose the winner of the special prize. The total prize pool is up to 32 000 PLN.
