We are pleased to inform you that doctoral students of the International Doctoral School – Zuzanna Nowicka, MD, and Arkadiusz Michalak, MD, have been awarded in the 32nd competition in the START program (organized by the Foundation for Polish Science).

The START program is the oldest scholarship program in Poland for the most talented young scientists representing all fields of science. Its aim is to support outstanding young scholars and encourage them to further their scientific development.

START program scholars are selected through a multi-stage competition, in which the quality of their previous scientific achievements is evaluated.

One hundred best candidates, who will receive an annual scholarship of 30,000 PLN, were selected from a group of 641 candidates.

Since 1993, the FNP has awarded 3,500 individuals and granted 4,136 scholarships totaling over 96.5 million PLN.

We warmly congratulate all the awardees and wish them further scientific success.
