Dear Doctoral Students of the International Doctoral School!
In order to obtain credit for the academic year 2023/2024, we kindly ask you to make an appoitment in Doctoral School Office between 1st August 2024 and 30th August 2024 and:
- submit the annual report on the course of studies, the template of the report is included in Appendix No. 2 to the Regulations of the International Doctoral School (the form available in the tab for a doctoral student – downloadable documents) together with academic achievements for the academic year 2023/2024, i.e. publications, certificates confirming the acquisition or completion of knowledge, skills or professional qualifications, etc. The report must be fulfilled both in Polish and English.
- please make sure that all grades have been entered into your electronic index via University IT system by the lecturers and are visible on PhD student’s periodic progress sheets generated from the University computer system
- in order to complete a year of training at the International Doctoral School, students are also required to:
- obtain credit for conducting classes and awarding credits for courses and professional placement:
30h – in the first year of studies
60h – in the second year of studies
60h – in the third year of studies
60h – in the fourth year of studeis
- Complete research and make progress in the preparation of the doctoral dissertation in accordance with the schedule specified in the Individual Research Plan.
- The condition for obtaining credit for the third year is to complete a total of 40 hours of modules between semester 2 and 6.
- During the entire period of education, it is necessary to complete 40 hours of doctoral seminars; if they are not completed, the doctoral student submits an application for extension of education together with the annual report for the fourth year and is obliged to complete the missing hours of seminars during this period.
Students of the first year, who have already prepared their Individual Research Plan (the form available in the tab for a doctoral student – downloadable documents) and agreed it with their supervisor(s), are asked to submit it to the Doctoral School Office along with documents confirming the completion of the year. Other first year students are required to submit their Individual Research Plan to the Head of the International Doctoral School within 12 months following the commencement of their studies, i.e. until September 30, 2024. The template of the Individual Research Plan is included in Appendix No. 1 to the Regulations of the International Doctoral School (we kindly ask you to include the topic of the doctoral dissertation in the Polish and English language).
Documents required for the completion of the academic year 2023/2024 should be submitted by the doctoral student in person at the Doctoral School Office in person, after a prior registration of an appointment through the electronic system available in the Virtual University.
To register an appointment at the Doctoral Student Service Center you are required:
- to log in to the Virtual University
- to click the “Doctoral Student Service Center appointments” tab (available from 1 August)
- to select an available date and time of the appointment in the calendar (the green colour indicates available hours, the red colour indicates booked hours) at the bottom of the calendar you will see the selected date and time of the appointment.
- when you click “Sign up”, you will see information on successful booking of the day and time of your appointment at the top of the calendar
