The Medical University of Łódź has received funding from the Łódzkie Voivodeship!

On June 6, 2025, the Management Board of the Łódź Voivodeship adopted a resolution granting funding to public universities in the region to support projects carried out by doctoral students in doctoral schools. Among the beneficiaries was also our Medical University, which received support in the amount of PLN 100,000. The agreement was signed on June 18, 2025, in the Ballroom of the Herbst Palace in Łódź. The Medical University of Łódź was represented by the University Bursar, MSc Lidia Solecka, and the Director of the International Doctoral School, Associate Professor Tomasz Boczek, MD, PhD.

Thanks to the funds received, doctoral students will be able to implement research projects with significant practical potential — both medical and social. As a result, this will strengthen the position of the Medical University as an institution whose scientific activities contribute to the development of the region and enhance the quality of education and research. The funding received by the Medical University will enable:

• the expansion of research activities conducted by doctoral students,
• better knowledge transfer to the local community and economy,
• special support for projects with practical medical applications.

We are grateful for the support that allows us to further develop our scientific potential and build strong ties between the academic community and the region’s society.
